Mi Mexico Family Mexican restaurant – Authentic Mexican Dining & Margaritas in Ouray, CO

Considering that most restaurants in Ouray close early and the options are limited, this place was not a bad choice. The food was decent and convenient for the area. (However, my Texan wife did not enjoy it. Texans might want to pass on this one.)

I had chicken fajitas. My wife had tacos, my son had the veggie burrito and my daughter in law had the shrimp salad. It was all really good.

Favorite place we ate at in Ouray. The staff was nice (which is hard to come by in Ouray), you get free chips and salsa, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. It has an authentic fun atmosphere. The margs were made with real lime juice and the pitcher was $30ish dollars.

We enjoyed the deck for outdoor dining. This place should be busier. Great drinks, huge portions of delicious food and a friendly attentive staff. It was my birthday so I had the fried ice cream, it too was huge! I recommend the queso fundido and carne asada salad.

Came with our family after a long day at the Hot Springs. Three were kids 10 & under. We loved the chips & salsa. Everyone loved their meal. My husband got the Huevos E Mas (steak & eggs) and it was a very large portion and SO Delicious! We would absolutely eat here again.

We got the Molcajete and it was one of the best we have had. Plenty of food for 2 people. The margaritas were also a generous portion (especially the grande) and were reasonably priced. The salsa and chips were also extremely tasty and had a nice kick. Only complaint we had was we specifically asked if the fried ice cream came out warm (freshly fried) and we were ensured it did. It did not - just came out cold. Seems that is pretty standard, it is hard to find good authentic fried ice cream. Just wish they wouldn't have said it did come out hot when it didn't. Wouldn't order the fried ice cream again. But all in all definitely a solid choice in Ouray.

I’m honestly surprised this place isn’t packed all the time! I first heard about Mi Mexico from a YouTuber and knew I wanted to check it out. By chance, my hotel turned out to serve breakfast here for its guests – which was perfect, because typical American hotel breakfasts are pretty terrible. The breakfasts at Mi Mexico, however, were absolutely delicious. We liked it so much that we decided to come back for lunch. Really great move to serve nachos as a starter for free. My partner had a burrito, and I ordered the shrimp in chipotle sauce. The portions were huge, even though we chose from the lunch menu, and everything was full of flavor. Highly recommend!

Excellent food. Services was good though a bit grumpy for those of us with coupons for breakfast from a local Inn. Overall, we were pleased. I had the Spanish Omelet. Great Omelet with typical ingredients. Included a side of toast. Not sure what made it Spanish, but still was very good. My wife had the Chorizo Burrito. It was packed full of chorizo. Almost too much! She tells me it was excellent! Coffee was very good and appreciated! All in all. We recommend! But, older gentleman who was host. Please smile a bit and not act like the coupons are such a bother. That was most of your customers when we were there.
